Final

I realized after about 30 experimentations with various materials such as dirt, hay, grass, pine needles, dead leaves, sand, dried day lillies, rock, dried corn stalks, that I was too caught up in the experimentation process of the project, and not having the final project in mind.  Knowing that peppers grow best in the warmth, I decided to go with making adobe and dead leaves as insulators and the dead leaves would also serve as a waterproofing.  I do not want to bring it to class, because the pepper plant hates to be brought into different temperatures within a quick time, and it was too cold for me to trust that the weather would not affect the plant.  I used a dried day lily as a tool for the plant to use to grow. I tried to develop a funnel system using paper mache, and dead leaves, with the use of a water balloon.  The funnel would be placed inside the lily rod, at the top, so you could easily water the plant at its roots, where it is most needed.  Even though I am not a fan of Thomas Edison, I quote him in saying, " I have not failed, I have just found 1000 ways that do not work".  I have not failed, just simply found and explored other materials for later projects.
